One of our favourite locations in the Highlands of Scotland, the area around Loch Eriboll has outstanding scenery. We highly recommend that you visit the far north of Scotland and explore the north west area around Sutherland.
Close to Loch Eriboll is the community of Durness and to the east, Tongue and the area of Caithness.

Loch Eriboll in the Scottish Highlands, far north of Scotland
The picture of Loch Eriboll is from the main road, the A838 driving from Tongue towards Durness. The outlying land (Ard Neackie or Ard Neakie) has a pier and building that were used for making lime. I believe the buildings were also used by the army to make arnaments during WWII.
The communties around Loch Eriboll consist of a few crofts at Eriboll and a lovely church which can be hired for weddings, and the crofting township of Laid. Laid has the famous artist Lotte Glob and her amazing wooden home.
