Urguhart Castle

Urquhart Castle is on the banks of Loch Ness, a few miles from Inverness, and is a must for any visitor to Scotland. More details on our Scottish Castles. Entrance to the Castle is a reasonable £6 per person, slightly cheaper for children and up-to-date details can be found on the Historic Scotland Urquhart Castle page (opens new browser).

Stirling Castle in Scotland

Stirling Castle is open to the public, one of Historic Scotland properties, and it is a highly recommended place to visit in Scotland. A great day out for the family. Declaration of Arbroath

The Declaration of Arbroath was a declaration of Scottish independence, and set out to confirm Scotland's status as an independent, sovereign state and its use of military action when unjustly attacked. It is in the form of a letter submitted to Pope John XXII, dated 6 April 1320.
